A kolache is a filled, baked dough treat with origins in Czech culture, though it has become a Texas favorite. In true Texan fashion, we have our own version we Texans can be proud of. Most often eaten for breakfast (but also makes a great snack, party food, and late night treat), kolaches are a Texas staple, and are best known to be filled with a sausage wiener, cheese and jalapeños.
